Archer Daniels Midland’s first-quarter net income dropped 31 percent, pressured by rising commodity prices and a shifting supply of crops. Profit slid despite very strong volume and revenue.</p><p>The corn and soybean processor, which also makes ethanol, posted net income of $345 million, or 54 cents per share. A year ago, net income was $496 million, or 77 cents per share. Revenue for the period ended Sept. 30 rose 13 percent, to $16.8 billion.</p><p> The company grows, ships and processes grains. More than 240 ADM processing plants convert corn, oilseeds, wheat and cocoa into products for food, animal feed, chemical and energy uses.</p><p><strong><span class="subhead">Other earnings</span></strong></p><p>Quarterly results reported Tuesday:</p><p>•Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer’s mega-acquisition of Wyeth boosted its third-quarter revenue 39 percent, but hefty charges and a higher tax rate, both related to that $68 billion purchase, dragged its profit down 70 percent. The New York-based maker of cholesterol blockbuster Lipitor and impotence pill Viagra posted net income of $866 million, 11 cents a share, down from $2.88 billion, 43 cents, a year earlier.</p><p>•Emerson Electric Co.’s earnings jumped 48 percent on higher revenue and a gain from the sale of a business. The St. Louis maker of electrical products had net income of $749 million, or 98 cents a share, for the quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with year-ago earnings of $506 million, 67 cents a share. Revenue rose 14 percent, to $5.84 billion. Sales of industrial automation and network power products improved the most.</p><p>•NYSE Euronext earned $128 million, 49 cents a share, compared with net income of $125 million, 48 cents, during the same quarter last year. Revenue after transaction-based expenses fell to $599 million from $621 million during the same quarter last year.</p><p>•MasterCard recorded net income of $518 million, or $3.94 per share, for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with $452 million, or $3.45 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue rose 5 percent, to $1.43 billion.</p><p>•Pharmacy benefits manager Medco Health Solutions reported net income of $371.5 million, or 85 cents per share, for the July-September period, up 10.6 percent from $335.6 million, or 69 cents per share, a year ago. Revenue rose 10 percent to $16.32 billion from $14.79 billion.

We have a wonderful life. Nice home. Great son. Good jobs. In the last year he has not initiated sex at all. I initiated it on our anniversary in 2008. Recently I initiated it again. It have been well over a year. Sex was okay. I initiated the next morning and he could not be bothered. Said he cannot keep an erection. I find that to be odd. He is healthy. I have encouraged him to see doc and get viagra or check medical condition. He just shrugs me off. While we were on vacation, he purchased a shot glass for a young woman that works in a business associated with his. I was shocked. It was a cheap gift but it struck me as out of character. He said he was buying it for her. That she collects them. A few days later I asked her name. He blurted it out. I looked her up and she is about 35 years old. I think it is rather odd that he was thinking of her and shopping for her in a gift shop while vacation with her family. I think it is odd that he knows what she collects (even if it is a cheap shot glass) since she works in an office and just comes to the front desk. He knows what she collects?? I have looked at phone records and don't find anything odd. He always has cash on him and travels from shop to shop freely during the day. No way to track that. He says she controls the paperwork in this store and he was just being nice. Of course, I am thinking she sees him writing checks for 80K to 100,000 and she thinks he is a good catch. Am I jumping to conclusions? Also, for the last year he often drinks 3 to 4 vodkas at night and goes to bed at 9:30. He kept accusing me of snoring until I finally started sleeping in the guest room to keep from bothering him. Am I blind? We have a long and great relationship otherwise.
I made a typo... we were on vacation with our family - not her family. I have no idea who she is.
It was just so out of character and over the years our relationship has gotten "comfortable" but stale. The lack of attention makes me sad and lonely at times.

Highly unlikely that he is cheating. It was just a gift for a coworker. don't over think this. He just is not interested anymore... the alcohol, fatique, stress, age, all contribute. He should see an MD but probably won't.
